Your Ultimate Social Media Monitor Checklist

Social media can be an overwhelming prospect at the best of times and that just as a consumer surrounded by the seemingly perfect lives of celebrities and influencers. As a small business, you are also tasked with creating content which represents your brand, promotes your products and develops a growing audience. You might have said to yourself ‘where do I begin?’, and your definitely not alone.

The easiest way to approach a mammoth task or project such as social media management is to break it down and make yourself a check list - that way you know exactly what you need to do and when.

We’ve created a simple checklist that either you or your social media monitor can use to keep track on your social media activity and streamline your processes. Just enter your email below to receive the  pdf checklist and keep reading to hear about a few of the checklist items in a bit more detail.

No matter what the social media platform, engagement is key. It’s not going to benefit your business to simply create content, post it and then move onto the next. Running your own business is hard and sometimes it feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day, but do try and make time for engaging with your customers - it will make all the difference.

Simply put, content curation is finding already existing content from others and sharing it with your audience. Adding content from others into the mix keeps things interesting for your followers and takes a little bit of the pressure off your content creation schedule. Content curation is well worth spending some time doing - you will see your audience grow and build relationships with others in the industry.

Setting yourself goals is really important - what you want to achieve will determine the types of content you post to your social media platforms. For example, if your goal is to achieve x number of sales for a new product launch, that one product will be all over your social media channels and you might create a specific campaign in the run up to release. You only know if your social media marketing strategy is successful, if you know what the goal was in the first place.
